Most GPS apps shout directions meant for car speakers. Vroom GPS is different. It connects to your Bluetooth intercom (Sena, Cardo, or any headset) and delivers clear, well-timed voice instructions right inside your helmet.
A short pre-announcement delay wakes up your intercom before speaking, and a post-announcement silence prevents the last word from getting cut off. No more missed turns because your headset was asleep.
Instead of yelling "Turn left!" at the last second, Vroom GPS uses a 3-phase announcement system that adapts to your speed:
Phase 1 - Preparation: A heads-up well in advance so you know what's coming. At highway speed, this can be up to 2 km ahead.
Phase 2 - Approach: A mid-range confirmation as you get closer to the maneuver. This one is never skipped.
Phase 3 - Execution: A final "Turn now" right when you need to act. Short, clear, on point.
When two turns are close together, Vroom GPS chains them: "Turn left, then immediately turn right." No surprises.
Choose from Premium, Enhanced, or Default voices. Download higher-quality voices directly from your phone settings.
Three presets: Slow, Normal, or Fast. Pick what feels right at your riding pace.
Fine-tune volume and pitch so the voice cuts through wind noise without being aggressive.
Early, Normal, or Late. Adjust when announcements trigger relative to each maneuver.
Toggle street name announcements on or off. "Turn left on D42" vs just "Turn left".
Get vocal warnings for danger zones, speed traps, accidents, and slippery roads ahead.
Nobody wants a GPS that talks non-stop. Vroom GPS enforces smart cooldowns: at least 5 seconds between announcements, "continue straight" reminders at most once every 5 minutes, and intelligent chaining for consecutive turns. It speaks when it matters, and stays quiet when it doesn't.
Want the most natural-sounding guidance? On iOS, you can download free Premium or Enhanced voice packs directly from your iPhone settings. They sound dramatically better than the default compact voices, and Vroom GPS automatically detects them once installed.
We've created a step-by-step guide to help you: check it out in the app's Voice Guidance settings, or visit our support page.
Voice guidance works in French, English, German, and Spanish, with language-specific pronunciations for road names and directions. The voice language follows your app settings automatically.
