A deeply poignant memorial dedicated to the missing Commonwealth soldiers who perished in the Ypres Salient during World War I and have no known grave. The Last Post ceremony is held here nightly, a moving tribute.

Essex Farm Cemetery

A small, profoundly moving Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery. This is the very site where Canadian doctor John McCrae wrote his famous poem 'In Flanders Fields' during the Second Battle of Ypres. Visitors can still see the remains of the original bunkers.
